Ag Innovations Triumph: Top-10 Tech Unveiled at World Ag Expo!

The International Agri-Center has recently unveiled the winners of its highly anticipated 2024 Top-10 New Products Competition. These groundbreaking innovations will be showcased at the World Ag Expo show in Tulare, California, USA, from February 13-15, 2024. The competition, organized annually by the International Agri-Center in conjunction with World Ag Expo, attracts over 1,200 exhibitors and an estimated 100,000 individuals from 60 countries.

Among the winners is the Amiga V7 intelligence platform by Farm-ng. This electric, configurable, 1.3HP platform revolutionizes farming by allowing farmers, developers, and researchers to perform a range of essential tasks such as hauling, towing, spraying, and applying composts. What sets the Amiga V7 apart is its versatility and intelligence. It can be configured over different row widths and comes with tools that lift or rotate. Additionally, its open API enables students, developers, and even elementary school students to code and configure the machine for data collection, integration with other tools, and performing repetitive robotic tasks. Equipped with a GPS guidance system, it can perform precision steering and even weed the same plots it seeded earlier in the year with minimal or no operator intervention.

Another remarkable winner is BlueSpray by Bluewhite. This innovation brings autonomous precision spraying capabilities to growers in orchards and vineyards. By leveraging Bluewhite’s autonomous tractor sensing capabilities, BlueSpray provides plant-based spraying in high resolution. It can integrate into existing sprayers, adjusting spray volume and pressure in real-time based on plant size and density. This not only reduces the amount of chemicals used but also minimizes spray drift without compromising on coverage. The data collected by BlueSpray feeds into the Bluewhite data platform, providing growers and the agribusiness ecosystem with valuable insights for compliance and business optimization.

Burro Grande, developed by Burro, is an impressive fully autonomous robot powered by AI and equipped with computer vision and LiDAR technology. With a towing capacity of 5,000 lbs and a pallet scale carry capacity of 1,500 lbs, Burro Grande is a game-changer. When paired with the Atlas online route creation platform, users can easily construct, manage, and share routes across their fleet. This innovation allows existing equipment operators to step away from the seat of a tractor or UTV, saving valuable labor.

Electric GUSS by GUSS Automation is another standout product. This autonomous electric herbicide orchard sprayer is the first of its kind in the world. It enables a single employee to operate and monitor a combination of up to eight GUSS machines from the safety of their vehicle using a laptop computer. Equipped with LiDAR, GPS, cameras, and more, Electric GUSS can safely and autonomously navigate orchards day or night, reducing emissions and saving spray material.

These are just a few of the remarkable innovations recognized in the 2024 Top-10 New Products Competition. Each winner brings unique benefits and advancements to the agricultural industry, showcasing the power of technology and innovation in transforming farming practices. As these products are showcased at the World Ag Expo show, farmers and industry professionals from around the world will have the opportunity to witness the future of agriculture firsthand. With continued advancements like these, the agricultural sector is poised to become more efficient, sustainable, and productive than ever before.
