Case IH is set to revolutionize the agricultural landscape with its latest precision technology offerings, aimed at reducing manual labor, enhancing accuracy, and providing valuable data insights. The new tech solutions will be showcased at the Farm Progress Show 2024, from August 27-29, promising to streamline farming operations and cater to the specific needs of farmers.
For Model Year 2025, Case IH will factory-fit its Soil Command technology on select sizes of the Speed-Tiller 475 and VT-Flex 435 tillage equipment. This innovation will be compatible with any ISO-compatible tractor equipped to handle hydraulic needs. Soil Command simplifies in-field adjustments with in-cab, single-button controls that manage depth, track corrections, and lift to full transportation height. This reduces the physical strain and time lost in making manual adjustments. The system also features customizable presets, ensuring consistency within a tillage program and helping farmers achieve their soil health goals.
“Technology is about more than data; it should also make farmers’ lives easier,” said Kendal Quandahl, precision technology segment lead at Case IH. “Whether it’s fewer in-and-out cab trips to adjust tillage machinery or taking soil management to the next level with prescription tillage, we are providing flexible technology solutions to meet the individual needs of farmers and their agronomic goals.”
Soil Command is designed to address various soil concerns, such as compaction, large clod sizing, and erosion. Ken Lehmann, crop production segment lead at Case IH, emphasized that the technology is purposefully designed to simplify adjustments and increase peak performance. “Regardless of operator skill level, farmers can have confidence that their tillage program will run accurately and efficiently,” he added.
In addition to Soil Command, Case IH is introducing the Active Implement Guidance system, a plug-and-play solution aimed at eliminating implement drift. This system enhances yield potential by ensuring implement accuracy in various field conditions and operating environments. The guidance system shares data between the implement and the tractor, ensuring precise execution in planting, strip-till, side-dress, and specialty windrow applications, such as potato production.
The Active Implement Guidance system is designed for simplicity, featuring a single-display setup compatible with select Case IH Early Riser Planters and third-party applications. This easy-to-use technology significantly reduces operator stress and protects against crop damage, making it a valuable addition to any farming operation.
Farmers interested in learning more about these innovative solutions can visit the Case IH booth at the Farm Progress Show, located at booth #102 on North Avenue along First Street and Second Street. Additional information is also available on the Case IH website or through local Case IH dealers.
These advancements by Case IH highlight the company’s commitment to providing technology that not only meets the precise demands of modern farming operations but also aligns with the preferences and goals of individual farmers. The integration of Soil Command and Active Implement Guidance into their equipment lineup marks a significant step forward in the quest for more efficient, accurate, and data-driven farming practices.
