This innovative system addresses the growing demand for water guava, a fruit that has seen a significant increase in consumer orders over the past year.

Traditionally, pesticide application in guava cultivation has been a labor-intensive task, often performed manually by farmers. This method not only demands considerable time and effort but also raises concerns about the uniformity of pesticide distribution and the potential for over-application. The introduction of an automatic pesticide sprayer aims to alleviate these challenges by automating the process, thereby enhancing efficiency and precision.

The system utilizes several key components, including the NodeMCU ESP8266, RTC sensors, relays, and LCD displays, all integrated into a cohesive monitoring framework. The software component, powered by Blynk, allows farmers to oversee the spraying process remotely. This capability is particularly beneficial, as it enables farmers to manage their operations more effectively, even from a distance.

One of the standout features of this automatic sprayer is its timing mechanism. The system is programmed to activate the pesticide pump at a predetermined time, ensuring that spraying occurs consistently and at optimal intervals. In the study, the pump was set to start spraying at 16:00 WIB and stop at 16:01, demonstrating the system’s reliability and precision. Additionally, the integration with the Blynk app allows for real-time notifications, keeping farmers informed about the status of their pesticide application.

By reducing the labor required for pesticide application, farmers can allocate their resources more effectively and potentially increase their overall productivity.
