Experience Cutting-Edge Conservation: Register for CTIC’s 2025 Tour

The Conservation Technology Information Center (CTIC) has kicked off registration for its highly anticipated 18th annual Conservation in Action Tour, set to take place on May 6-7, 2025, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This year’s tour promises to be an immersive, two-day event, offering attendees an exclusive look into the ag industry’s cutting-edge conservation practices. The tour will feature multiple farm stops, providing a unique perspective on how fall and early spring management practices can optimize crop production throughout the year. This tour is an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain real-world insights into the challenges faced by producers and the innovative solutions they employ to drive the next generation of program design, strategic partnerships, engagement tactics, and implementation guidelines.

Attendees will have the chance to visit ag industry stops featuring upstream and downstream value chain partners, offering a comprehensive understanding of how these partners support producers. The tour has a proven track record of attracting national attention, with a record attendance of 270 participants from 20 states in previous years. The event brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including producers, advisors, agribusiness representatives, elected officials, policymakers, researchers, and conservation agriculture agencies from national, state, and local levels. This multidisciplinary approach fosters a melting pot of ideas, inspiring innovation and lasting friendships, all centered around the success and resiliency of American producers.

The Conservation in Action Tour is notable for its cross-sectional representation of all sectors that serve producers. This year’s tour marks CTIC’s first foray into the Great Plains, expanding its reach beyond the 13 states it has previously featured. The tour began in 2008 in Indiana, showcasing successful farmers prioritizing soil and water quality. Since then, it has grown into a gold standard for farm tours, highlighting agricultural innovation across various landscapes and climates. Previous tours have featured sugarcane harvesting in Florida, aerial seeding demonstrations in Illinois, wheat processing in Michigan, and livestock grazing in Idaho. The tour has also highlighted watersheds as expansive as the Chesapeake Bay and the Mississippi Delta, as well as smaller but equally important watersheds like the Indian Creek in Illinois.

Early bird registration for the 2025 Conservation in Action Tour is open until February 15, with standard pricing available through April 15. Special group pricing is also available, and limited complimentary media passes can be requested. A room block at the Holiday Inn City Centre in Sioux Falls is reserved until April 5. This tour is a must-attend event for anyone interested in the future of conservation agriculture and the innovative practices that are shaping the industry.
