AgroIntelli’s Robotti Secures Major Investment for Sustainable Farming

In a significant move set to reshape the future of European agriculture, Danish agtech company AgroIntelli has secured a major investment to propel its autonomous field robot, Robotti, into a new phase of growth. The investment comes from EAAVL Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, a Northern German family office with deep agricultural roots, in partnership with Nordic Alpha Partners, who have been supporting AgroIntelli since 2020.

The investment is a vote of confidence in AgroIntelli’s vision for sustainable, labour-efficient farming. Robotti, an autonomous implement carrier, has already proven its mettle in various agricultural and horticultural tasks across Europe. Its precision, low emissions, and reduced labour requirements make it an attractive solution for farmers grappling with labour shortages and sustainability challenges.

The investment round is timely, following last year’s announcement that Kubota’s European dealer network will distribute a Kubota-branded version of the Robotti robot. This partnership underscores the growing market interest in practical autonomy and validates AgroIntelli’s technology.

AgroIntelli’s CEO and founder, Ole Green, expressed enthusiasm about the strategic fit with EAAVL. “We wanted a strategic investor who understands farming and believes in innovation,” Green said. “EAAVL’s background in regenerative agriculture and future-focused investments is the perfect match.”

The investment will enable AgroIntelli to scale up Robotti’s production and expand its market reach. Troels Øberg of Nordic Alpha Partners highlighted the team’s resilience and commitment, noting that they have brought the product to maturity. With EAAVL’s energy and long-term commitment, the stage is set for global expansion.

The collaboration also aligns with Kubota’s vision for autonomy in agriculture. Andreas Kaczmarczyk, VP Sales & Marketing at Kubota Holding Europe, praised Robotti’s adaptability and accessibility. “The combination of autonomous driving with a modular frame for multiple implements is the future,” he stated. “With Robotti, we see an accessible and adaptable solution for one of our core customer segments in high-value crops.”

Robotti’s current availability in several European markets and its feature in the Future Farming Robot Buying Guide attest to its growing popularity. With the new investment, AgroIntelli plans to expand its reach and support network further, not just across Europe, but potentially beyond.

The investment in AgroIntelli is more than just a financial boost; it’s a testament to the growing acceptance and demand for autonomous solutions in agriculture. As labour shortages and sustainability concerns continue to challenge the industry, innovative technologies like Robotti offer a glimpse into a future where farming is more efficient, precise, and environmentally friendly. The partnership between AgroIntelli, EAAVL, and Kubota is a significant step towards making this future a reality.
