One of these is JDLink, a system that connects equipment to John Deere’s cloud-based software, providing real-time machine data, location tracking, and health monitoring. Additionally, the T3rra Cutta landforming software, which utilizes drones to survey fields and strategize land use, will help maximize output. “It gives the ability to survey fields for their elevation. Once they see the problem areas, then they can create a design to fix those, and then they can run a simulator to show them how their design works,” said Brad Rucks of Everglades Equipment Group.
The partnership will also introduce multisection dry fertilizer applicators and Smart Clean technology to reduce fuel consumption. These advancements are expected to significantly improve operations for farmers in the Glades area, making them more efficient and sustainable. “All this advanced technology… is improving operations on the ground for the Glades-area farmers and making them smarter and more efficient,” Berden noted.
