Robot Tractor Makes Historic Debut at Dutch Ploughing Championships

In a first for the Dutch National Ploughing Championships (NK ploegen), a robot tractor took center stage, offering a glimpse into the future of autonomous farming. The event, held in Borgercompagnie, Groningen, saw the AgXeed AgBot 2.055W4, equipped with an Överum reversible plough, demonstrate its capabilities in the reversible plough category.

Dirk Lagerweij, chairman of the Dutch Ploughing Association, confirmed the significance of the event, stating that the presence of the AgXeed AgBot was indeed a premiere. The robot–plough combination, featuring an Överum three-furrow reversible plough with XLD mouldboards, showcased the potential of autonomous technology in agriculture.
