Arya.ag Launches Smart Farm Centres to Empower Farmers

Arya.ag, India’s largest and only profitable grain commerce platform, has taken a significant step towards empowering smallholder farmers with the launch of 25 Smart Farm Centres across the country. This initiative brings technology and data intelligence directly to the farmgate, marking a new phase in Arya.ag’s mission to build a profitable and sustainable agri ecosystem.

Over the years, Arya.ag has established a robust agri-commerce network, connecting millions of farmers with storage, finance, and market linkages. The Smart Farm Centres extend this network into the pre-harvest stage, providing farmers with technology that simplifies decision-making and improves productivity. Each centre serves as a hub for data-led agriculture, addressing localised challenges faced by farmers. Managed by community-based women leaders, these centres offer a range of services including IoT-enabled soil diagnostics, hyper-local weather insights, drone imaging, climate insurance, and farmer training. These tools assist farmers in making informed decisions throughout the cultivation process, from sowing and irrigation to harvest planning and financing.

The Smart Farm Centres are a result of collaboration with various technology partners such as Neoperk, BharatRohan, FarmBridge, Finhaat, and Fyllo, along with Arya.ag’s Community Value Chain Resource Persons (CVRPs). This partnership demonstrates how technology, data analytics, and community trust can drive measurable impact at the farm level. The centres form a connected intelligence network where every data point strengthens farmer resilience, decision-making, and income stability.

Shenoy Mathew, Chief Sustainability Officer at Arya.ag, highlighted the importance of these centres in shifting the power back into the hands of farmers. He stated, “Farmers have long worked within a system defined by uncertainty of soil, weather, policy, and markets. The Smart Farm Centres bring them the intelligence and network to face that uncertainty. By bringing technology directly to the farmgate and training local community members to manage these Centres, we shift the power back into the hands of the farmers. This is how resilience is built—through information and access.”

Prasanna Rao, Co-founder and CEO of Arya.ag, emphasised the role of collaboration in driving progress in agriculture. He noted, “Collaboration is the foundation of progress in agriculture. The Smart Farm Centres show what happens when technology innovators, data scientists, and local communities work together. These Centres are proof that practical, scalable solutions can emerge from partnerships grounded in the everyday realities of Indian farmers.”

The impact of the Smart Farm Centres is already evident. Suman Yadav, a CVRP, shared how the centres helped farmers avoid crop loss during a cyclone. Similarly, farmer Swapnil Satinge reported improved yield and grain quality after adopting tech-based advisories from the centres.

The Smart Farm Centres are integrated into Arya.ag’s broader ecosystem of storage, finance, and markets, creating a transparent and connected value chain from farm to market. This integration strengthens income stability, improves risk management, and supports long-term growth for smallholders. Arya.ag aims to establish a network of 100 smart farm centres in the next three years.

Currently, Arya.ag works with over 1,600 Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and 800,000+ farmers across India. Its network spans 60 per cent of the country’s districts, covering more than 12,000 warehouses, facilitating grain aggregation worth $3 billion annually, and enabling $1.5 billion in credit for farmers and their organisations.

With the launch of Smart Farm Centres, Arya.ag reinforces its position as India’s most comprehensive agri ecosystem, combining technology, data, and community partnerships to empower smallholders and their organisations for a resilient and sustainable future. This initiative not only brings technology to the farmgate but also ensures that farmers are equipped to make informed, data-driven decisions, ultimately enhancing their productivity and income.
