Case IH’s SenseApply Tech Revolutionizes Precision Farming

In the rapidly evolving landscape of agricultural technology, Case IH is making significant strides to empower farmers with innovative precision solutions. The company’s latest advancements, including SenseApply sense and act spray technology and updates to Case IH FieldOps, are designed to enhance efficiency and profitability for operators.

Jana Wolf, precision technology product marketing manager for EMEA at Case IH, emphasizes the importance of integrating new technologies seamlessly into existing operations. “Providing new, innovative solutions that can be easily integrated into current operations is critical in making operators more efficient and profitable,” she states. The latest technologies from Case IH are not only built into their equipment but also come with new support tools that address common operator challenges.

SenseApply Technology

One of the standout innovations is SenseApply, a versatile and economical variable rate application solution. This technology offers multi-season functionality without compromising quality or reliability, allowing farmers to cover more acres within each operating window at speeds of up to 25 mph. The system features a multi-spectral camera positioned on top of the cab, which captures precise field and plant images up to 137 feet wide and 49 feet in front of the device.

SenseApply provides unparalleled flexibility with a range of application methods and includes lifetime access to Live VRA and a one-time activation fee for Selective Spray Green-on-Brown Spot Spray. This eliminates both per acre fees and annual fees for the life of the device. Selective Spray also delivers up to a 60% reduction in herbicides, making it an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution.

Integration with FieldOps and Raven Slingshot allows SenseApply to align application plans with individual agronomist recommendations seamlessly. SenseApply is now available as a factory fit or retrofit option, making it accessible to a broader range of farmers.

FieldOps Enhancements

Case IH continues to enhance FieldOps, a comprehensive platform that connects all aspects of farming operations. The new AI Boundary Creation feature allows operators to generate field boundaries quickly using satellite imagery and machine learning, saving valuable time and effort. Accurate boundaries improve efficiency, minimize overlap, and ensure consistent data across machines and fields.

Operators can also utilize Boundary Management, which includes easy-to-use digitizer tools such as Selection, Auto Detect, Polygon, Circle Offset Boundary, Split, and Cutout. These tools help shape boundaries based on the operation’s specific needs.

To assist with troubleshooting, FieldOps users can now initiate Remote Display View with an existing Raven Display. By clicking “Connect to Display” on the overview page and inserting the seven-digit session code on the FieldOps website, users can view and control the in-cab display remotely. This feature allows users to open multiple remote view sessions simultaneously in separate browser tabs, enhancing the troubleshooting process.

These advancements from Case IH represent a significant step forward in precision agriculture. By providing farmers with tools that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve sustainability, Case IH is helping to shape the future of farming. As the agricultural industry continues to embrace technology, these innovations are poised to play a crucial role in maximizing productivity and profitability for operators worldwide.
