The 2026 Tractor of the Year (TOTY) awards were announced on 9 November at Agritechnica, following a rigorous selection process involving Europe’s leading tractor manufacturers and a jury of 25 specialist journalists. The awards, granted in six competition categories, recognized the most innovative and high-performing tractors in the industry.
The Claas Axion 9.450 Terra Trac emerged victorious in the TOTY HighPower category, while the Fendt 516 Vario claimed the TOTY MidPower title. The Valtra G125 CVT Active was awarded TOTY Utility, and the New Holland T4.120 F Auto Command won TOTY Specialised. In the sustainable category, the JCB Fastrac 6300 secured the TOTY Sustainable award, and the Agxeed 2.055 W3 was awarded TOTY Bot, recognizing its innovative autonomous technology.
The TOTY awards not only celebrate the achievements of tractor manufacturers but also provide valuable insights into the future of agricultural technology. “Tractor of the Year is not just an award, but a true observatory on the evolution of farming technology,” said Fabio Zammaretti, president of TOTY. “Each edition enables us to analyse how research and innovation are transforming tractors into increasingly advanced, intelligent, and connected machinery.”
